Etymology[]
The technique is actually unnamed in the manga and Undine's datasheet in Yoma War Record III.
双剣 derives from Undine's nickname on her datasheet, which translates as "Twin Sword."
Deneve describes the technique as a "two sword style."[6]
Description[]
Undine[]
Technique derives from Undine's Strength baseline (A).[7] Deneve observes that Undine's brawny muscles are actually unnecessary.[8]
Attack speed 20%.[9] Technique second slowest, but third most powerful.[10] See sword chart.
Deneve[]
Technique derives ultimately from Deneve's agility baseline (B),[11] unlike Undine's strength baseline.
History[]
Battle of the North[]
Undine, feeling guilt over her friend's death, takes up the friend's sword. Undine builds temporary muscular body, getting permission from Organization to use two swords.[12]
Twin Sword in action
Deneve, like other Ghosts after the Battle of the North, emulates techniques of fallen team captains.
In the manga, Deneve takes up Undine's sword in the church plaza.[13] In the anime, Deneve takes up Undine's sword in the Eastern Inn lobby.[14]
Timeskip[]
During 7-year timeskip, Deneve develops a Yoma power-less version.
