Cold open[]

Deneve notes Dietrich's "sky sword" technique, in which Dietrich leaps sky-high and lands a sword blow to her target.[6]

Dietrich[]

The debt[]

With the three wounded hunt members out of danger, Helen tries to persuade Dietrich to say nothing to Organization about Helen and Deneve. Dietrich refuses.[7]

Escape[]

Deneve and Helen flee Dietrich's hunt. But Dietrich catches up with them.[8]

Dietrich realizes they are survivors of the Battle of the North. She warns them not to proceed farther south, where a "demonic existence dwells."[9]

Isley[]

Village[]

But Helen detects extreme Yoma energy from the village in the valley below. Deneve guesses the Yoma aura belongs to Isley. Helen then jumps to the conclusion that Isley must be Dietrich's "demon."[10]

Helen talks Deneve into visiting the village, hoping to catch a glimpse of Isley for a thrill.[11]

In town, they spot Isley and tail him. But Isley sees through their disguise—he cuts off Deneve's arm.[12]

Demon[]

On the wooded outskirts of town, Dietrich keeps still as the human silhouette of a visitor approaches.[13]
