Some of the illustrations are from the Shueisha tankōbons—the front face and front flap of jackets, and the front and back cover panels.
Other illustrations originated as title pages of scenes in magazines, sometimes colored.
Most of these illustrations are missing or truncated in the US VIZ Media edition.
