Description[]
Definition[]
Sensing baseline enables ability.
Often confused with "perception" in translations.
Sensing is detection of "raw" data by sensory receptors—visual, hearing, touch, smell and taste.
Perception is understanding sensory data, a mental process. See Sensation versus Perception.
Versus other abilities[]
Sensation versus perception[]
Priscilla's sensing baseline is A+, her mental is C.
Most Claymore warriors, even if they detect (sense) Teresa's flesh in Clare, they only perceive Clare.
In anime, Priscilla senses Teresa in Clare, but then perceives Teresa, due to Priscilla's low Mental baseline.
History[]
First allusion by village chief (Scene 2).
Names of abilities appear only in Yoma War Record.
