Etymology[edit | edit source]

ロートレク transliterates from "Lautrec." First mention by Cynthia.[10] Lautrec and the central region of Toulouse both allude to the French Post-Impressionist painter, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864–1901).

The artist's name derives from the medieval village of Lautrec. From the Occitan l'autreg, deriving from octroi, a wholesale or retail tax on local goods.

Description[edit | edit source]

Western region of the island continent. See world map. The majority of Claymore scenes take place in this region.

In vicinity, Zakol Mountains is headquarters ("Witch's Maw") of Riful of the West.[13]
