First appearance

Scene 1, Anime Scene 1

The buckle is unnamed by characters in the manga and anime. It is named and described in only in the DVD booklets.

Locking device used to secure spaulders on shoulders and the sword carrier on the spine between the cervical and thoracic.

No two buckles are alike.[3][4][5][6] Buckle design varies as much as hairstyle.

During the Initial Male Era, buckles take the form of simple bands.[7] Later during the Old Generation and afterward, the designs become more intricate. They take the form of flowers, ribbon bows, butterflies and complex geometric shapes.
